For many years, Manhattan University has proudly maintained alumni email accounts after graduation - a reflection of our commitment to lasting connections. However, evolving licensing policies from Google and Microsoft, rising operational costs, and a heightened emphasis on cybersecurity have led our IT department to reevaluate this offering.
Starting with the Class of 2024, University email accounts will remain active for 18 months post-graduation. For example:
- May 2025 graduates will have their accounts disabled in November 2026
- May 2024 graduates will have their accounts disabled in November 2025
Alumni who graduated before May 2024 will see their accounts disabled by September 30, 2025.
We understand that this change may come as an inconvenience, and we want to assure you that it wasn't made lightly. Most universities now phase out alumni email access after graduation to protect personal data and reduce vulnerabilities. As much as we've cherished offering lifetime accounts, this shift is ultimately about safeguarding your digital identity.
