The current Alumni Society President is Louis J. Lamatina, Esq. '79, a history and economics major with a Juris Doctor from Hofstra University '82. Lou has practiced law since 1983 and heads a firm that bears his name in Paramus, New Jersey. He is a member of the Bergen County Bar Association, a current panelist for the Bergen County Matrimonial Early Settlement Panel, a court approved matrimonial mediator and an attorney volunteer for Alternatives to Domestic Violence.
In addition to his law practice, Lou is in his second term as Mayor of the Borough of Emerson, New Jersey. He sits on the Borough's Land Use Board. Having served as a councilman in the 1990's, Lou has been in public service now for 10 years.
Lou is a participant in the College's mentor program and is a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame Committee. An avid Jasper basketball fan, Lou has attended years of home and away games with his wife of 34 years, Jeanine '81 and daughters Lauren (24) and Allison (17). Lou and Jeanine met while on campus and married in the Chapel in 1983.
